TEXAS
Division, is a Naval Sea Cadet unit that includes a Naval
Sea Cadet and Navy League Cadet
Company - the two programs often drill together. The Navy League
Cadet unit - the USS Chief Training Ship
TEXAS Division - drills one weekend a month. Our major
training site is at NAS Corpus Christi.
We hope to soon have spaces at NAS Corpus Christi that will allow us to have full weekend
drills (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon). School activities are
always excused so cadets that have band or sports scheduled activities
may be asked to be excused and come in Saturday.
Naval
Sea Cadet Corps INDOC Company Enrollment
New Cadets enrolling in TEXAS Division pay $50. That fee
covers the National Registration and Insurance plus INDOC Company
Materials. Once the cadet graduates from INDOC Company, he/she is
eligible to wear the appropriate Sea Cadet Uniforms for training
with the TEXAS Division- Navy Utilities, Dress White or Blue Jumper
and BDUs. These seasonal uniforms will be issued after the Graduation
Drill and the rest of the Enrollment Fee ($100) is collected.
The Total Application Fee/Initial Enrollment is $150.00 ($50 + $100
above). The following years, the annual reenrollment is $100 for
all cadets. A portion of that fee is sent to National Headquarters.
The rest is used for NSCC patches, ribbons and training materials.
Essential NSCC/Navy uniforms are issued on a loan basis.
Summer
Training -
Sea Cadets - 10-14 Day Boot Camp - (for ages 13-17)
Cost $170 - $240 plus the cost of transportation to the training.
League Cadets - 1 Week Orientation - (for ages 11-13)
Cost $140.00 plus the cost of transportation to the training.
Holiday
Training - (Thanksgiving - Christmas - Spring Break)
Sea Cadets - 10 day Boot Camp and Advanced Training
Cost $170.00 registration plus the cost of transportation to the
training. (for ages 13-17)
